Our October List of the best in new music is out! Let’s get to the fun stuff. Which new under the radar bands are catching our ear? Dazy, Yot Club, Housewife, Lowertown, Arcy Drive, Abby Sage, Miss Grit and Dummy for starters.
Plus new albums just out from artists we love like comedian/actor Whitmer Thomas, Beth Orton, Dry Cleaning, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Charley Crockett, The Backseat Lovers, rapper Mavi and folk supergroup Bonny Light Horseman.
We had to toss in that killer new single from LCD Soundsytem and new tunes from Young Fathers, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Bass Drum of Death and the aptly titled new track from Girl in Red, “October Passed Me By”.
Lastly, we’re loving these new tracks from Stopover alums Ron Gallo, French Horn Rebellion (afro-cuban funk!) and Futurebirds, our friends and local superstars who just dropped a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy For The Devil” today.
Let us know what’s catching your ear as we round the musical corner from fall into winter…hit us up on Insta or Facebook.
